FAQ
Common questions from merchants installing or running Bunk Shipments.
Does Bunk Shipments replace Shopify Shipping?
No. Shopify still owns checkout and shipping rates. Bunk Shipments helps you configure delivery options, capture parcel locker or store pickup choices on the cart, and create carrier shipments from Admin. You can optionally use Delivery Customization so checkout rates match the buyer’s selection.
Which carriers are supported?
Production shipment creation supports Omniva and DPD. Parcel locker (pickup) capability depends on each carrier’s capabilities—not Omniva alone. Connect only the carriers you have accounts for, and confirm Test connection before going live.
Can I use multiple carriers?
Yes. You can connect more than one supported carrier and enable the methods each carrier should offer under Settings → Storefront delivery.
Does the cart widget work with Online Store 2.0?
Yes. Add the Bunk Delivery Widget as a Theme App Block on your Online Store 2.0 Cart template in the Theme Editor. That is the canonical setup path.
Why don’t buyers see parcel lockers?
Confirm the carrier is connected, Test connection succeeded, the parcel locker list has been synced, and the carrier plus locker method are enabled under Storefront delivery. Then make sure the Bunk Delivery Widget Theme App Block is on the cart template.
Can I disable parcel lockers?
Yes. In Settings → Storefront delivery you can turn delivery methods on or off. If locker delivery is disabled, buyers will not see that option in the cart widget.
How do I create a shipment?
Open an order in the Bunk Shipments Orders workspace, confirm delivery details, then choose Create shipment. The shipment becomes Registered with the connected carrier. Store pickup orders do not need a carrier shipment.
How do I print a shipping label?
After Create shipment succeeds, download or print the shipping label from the same order. Attach it to the parcel before handing it to Omniva or DPD.
What happens after Create Fulfillment?
Create Fulfillment creates the Shopify fulfillment for the order. It does not end the Bunk shipment lifecycle. The shipment stays on the Orders shipment dashboard so you can Sync tracking through In Transit and Delivered. If a Shopify fulfillment is cancelled, Bunk reconciles that state and you can Create Fulfillment again when Shopify makes the order fulfillable.
Where can I see tracking?
Open the order in the Bunk Shipments Orders workspace. Carrier tracking status appears there after you Sync (or Bulk Sync). Use the Registered, In Transit, and Delivered filters to find shipments by lifecycle stage.
How does tracking status update?
Bunk Shipments uses carrier tracking information for statuses such as In Transit and Delivered. Use Sync on the order (or Bulk Sync) to refresh from the carrier. Status does not jump to In Transit or Delivered only because you created a Shopify fulfillment.
What does Delivered mean?
In Bunk Shipments, Delivered means the carrier reported the shipment as delivered. Shopify Admin “Mark as delivered” is not the source of truth for Bunk Delivered status. Shopify fulfillment status and Bunk carrier tracking status are separate.
What is Operating mode?
Setup and Simulation keep live carrier shipping off or sandboxed while you configure the store. Live allows real shipment creation, fulfillments, and tracking sync. Switch to Live only after credentials and the cart widget are verified.
Can staff manage shipments?
Yes. Staff with access to the embedded app can review orders, adjust delivery details where allowed, create shipments, print labels, create fulfillments, and Sync tracking updates.
Why does an order say delivery information is incomplete?
The order is missing a delivery method, carrier, or parcel locker needed to create a shipment. Complete the delivery details in the Orders workspace, or confirm the cart Theme App Block was on the theme when the order was placed.
How do I contact support?
